MTV Summer

Summer has finally hit Sydney. By Summer I mean sporadic rain, overcast and seriously moody people (seriously kids, chill!). 

However, this new definition of Summer didn't stop the A listers and a fair few C Listers (me included..ok maybe d listers) to dance it up at arguably one of the most fun and atmospheric Summer event Sydney has seen in a while (possibly even pre winter). 

The Bondi Beach event, held at the rooftop of the Swiss Grand was transformed into every awesome Summer Cliche imaginable, think pools, boobies, bikinis, balls, Chuppa Chup sucking, sand and booze.  Sneaky Sound System and P Money provided the entertainment, the super nice Models (Reality TV cast offs included) provided the eye candy and MTV stars such as the Dirty Sanchez and Domnico charmed/annoyed the ladies. 

Biggest surprise of the night: The usual Sydney cool crowd turned without the usual tent pole up their asses. Everyone was friendly, chilled out and just looking to have a rad time (yes I actually used the word RAD!). 

 

What Ruled: The view, the pool, the food, the people....those V cocktails... the sexy bitches giving out Free Haviannas. 

What SUCKED: Nothing. It's MTV...

My name is Stephen and I have a confession. I am a cheater. I’ve cheated multiple times, last year 17 times, the year before that about 45 times. I must confess they weren’t flings; I fell in love each and every time. While I have felt pangs of guilt, the passion and excitement I felt during my encounters made these emotions diminish.

But this summer I have realised how much I do love the one I have been with for 25 years. I have decided to stop straying;
I admit still have a fondness of LA, New York, Tokyo, London, Melbourne, Slovenia, Paris, Cape Town and many more.

That aside in 2008 I am declaring my love for my home town Sydney, I will yell from the top of the harbour bridge “I heart Sydney” and I don’t care who knows it.

The next few weeks I will be sharing my Sydney, what I like, what I hate and what I love to hate,because at the end of the day despite some small gripes, Sydney rates as one of the best damn cities on this planet and it ain’t just hype.
